KUALA LUMPUR: Forty-seven women, shortlisted from more than 2,000 nominees, were declared winners of the Malaysian Women Of Excellence Awards 2014.
The ceremony was organised by Event Port Sdn Bhd at Hilton Kuala Lumpur recently.
It was officiated by Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor. Event Port chief executive officer Datin Shairin Mohd Sharif presented the awards to the winners. Among the recipients were singer Datuk Siti Nurhaliza, entrepreneur Datin Winnie Loo, squash idol Datuk Nicol David and Pure Life Society president Datin Paduka Mother Mangalam.
Guests were treated to a sumptuous dinner and enjoyed a variety of performances during the ceremony. By Naveen Mathew Menon
