KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened higher against the US dollar this morning on renewed buying interest, a dealer said.
At 9.04am, the domestic currency was quoted at 3.3385/3405 versus 3.3515/3545 at 5 pm on Tuesday.
On another encouraging note, the ringgit was also traded higher against other major currencies.
It rose against the Singapore dollar to 2.5701/5734 from 2.5712/5752 on Tuesday and increased against the yen to 2.8340/8362 from 2.8391/8428 yesterday.
The local currency strengthened against the British pound to 5.2465/2499 from 5.2575/2635 previously and higher against the euro to 4.1664/1696 from 4.1679/1720 on Tuesday.-- Bernama
