GEORGE TOWN: THE 42nd Penang Pesta International Bowling Championship will be held at the Mega Bowling Centre, MegaMall Pinang in Prai starting on Dec 12.
Penang Tenpin Bowling Association (PTBA) secretary Cheah Ban Cheng said the nine-day championship carried a total cash prize of about RM90,800.
Cheah said the event was hosted by the PTBA with the sanction of the Malaysian Tenpin Bowling Congress (MTBC).
Cheah, who is also the MTBC secretary-general, said the competition would comprise 11 categories, including the Milo Youth Boys’ and Girls’ Under-12, Under-16 and Open, the Men’s and Women’s Graded and Open and the Senior Masters Open.
Cheah said the competition was expected to be tough, with South Korea and Singapore indicating their participation along with Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand.
