Western fare for Christmas Eve

Diners are in for a treat as the restaurant has prepared an array of western dishes to choose from, including roasted lamb and traditional roast chicken.

Start your Christmas Eve dinner with something healthy by heading to the salad counter where you will find a wide selection which includes mixed green salad, turkey ham salad, Greek mixed salad, the heavenly couscous prawn mixed salad and roasted beef mixed salad which carries a Thai flavour.

Chef Mohd Zaini Mohd Noor said guests could also enjoy the six types of canapés available at the salad bar such as risotto ball with cheese and mushroom, Hawaiian pizza and breaded chicken with avocado dip.

The BBQ Action Corner offers a selection of exceptionally fresh seafood.

“Here at the BBQ action corner there are fat meaty prawns, clams, squid and many more.

“Diners may select the seafood of their choice and the chef will barbecue it on the spot,” said Zaini.

As western as the buffet spread may be, it would not be complete without a Malaysian dish or two.

“Other than seafood, we also offer diners the traditional beef and chicken satay which come with condiments and peanut sauce. We know how much Malaysians love their satay,” he said.

For meat lovers, the carving stall is the place to be. You will find roasted lamb which you can choose to have with mint, black pepper or mushroom sauce.

“We also have traditional roasted chicken with festive accompaniments as well as roasted sirloin beef with shallot sauce and cranberry sauce.

“The meat is imported from Australia and New Zealand, and marinated with fresh herbs,” he added.

Save yourself some room for the hot dishes as there will be plenty to choose from as well.

The gratin penne pasta with chicken is delightful and creamy whereas the roasted baby chicken with BBQ sauce is perfect to eat with the butter rice.

The beef stroganoff and roasted vegetables are also delicious when eaten with the butter rice, or even consumed on its own.

Pastry chef Chef Yap Wai Keong has prepared a selection of tasty desserts such as the mini assorted pastries, jelly in a glass, log cake, and lemon cheese cake.

“Guests might also enjoy the mini chocolate brownies, bread and butter pudding with vanilla sauce and creme caramel.

“For diners who prefer finishing off their meal with fruits, we also provide a selection of assorted tropical fresh fruits,” he said.

The Christmas Eve buffet dinner is available on Dec 24, from 6.30pm to 10.30pm and is priced at RM90++ per adult and RM45++ for children below 12, inclusive of a specially selected wine and a door gift.
