BUSAN (South Korea), Dec 11 (Bernama) – Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak Thursday held a bilateral meeting with the Philippine President Benigno S. Aquino III on the sidelines of the Asean-South Korea Commemorative Summit here.
They had discussions on bilateral, regional and multilateral issues of mutual interest.
Najib, who arrived here Thursday, is on a two-day visit to attend the summit.
The summit provides the opportunity for Asean and South Korea to properly assess and take stock of their relations with a view to identifying areas which both sides could further expand on and cooperate in the years ahead.
The leaders of Asean and South Korea are expected to adopt two outcome documents, namely the Joint Statement of Asean-South Korea Commemorative Summit on the 25th Anniversary of their relations and the Executive Report of the Asean-South Korea Plan of Action (2011-2015).
