Missing guides at Gunung Stong State Park found

KOTA BARU: The seven tourist guides who were stranded after checking jungle trails in the Gunung Stong State Park in Kuala Krai have been found.

A Kelantan Fire and Rescue Department spokesman confirmed that the group of five men and two women were found by rescuers at about 2.45pm.

The group, in their 30s and 40s, started their trek up the mountain on Dec 11 and were supposed to return on Friday.

A colleague who waited for them at a meeting point in the park lodged a police report when they did not turn up until late evening.
