PETALING JAYA: Some 250 guests attended the launch of Malaysian designer Fion Poon’s new songket and batik collection at a bungalow home, here, recently.
They included fashion enthusiasts, dignitaries and Poon’s mentor, Datuk Dr Jimmy Choo.
Guests had the chance to enjoy local cuisine while shopping and mingling with well-known shoe designers.
Poon’s collection consisted of footwear, purses, handbags and wristlets.
She said her products were specially handcrafted. She said traditional skills such as weaving were required to make the items. By LynYanna Jamaludin
