KUCHING: A 19-year-old boy was found dead in a hotel room at Jalan Song here about 6.30pm yesterday.
The victim, identified as Ko Kai Jun from Jalan Stampin was found lying on the bed in the room.
Kuching district chief ACP Roslan Bek Ahmad said initial investigation shown that the victim received a punch in an earlier incident by a suspect and the suspect has surrendered himself to the police.
The body was taken to Sarawak General Hospital and the post-mortem is expected to be done by 3pm today.
Roslan said the case will only be classified after the post-mortem.
