Floods: UniMAP asks students affected by flood to focus on their safety

KANGAR: Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) management will make special consideration on the final examination scheduled on Nov 29 for students who are trapped at their hometowns in the east coast states due to flood.

UniMAP Academic and International deputy vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Zu Azhar Zahid Jamal said such decision was made to allow students to give full focus on their safety as well as their family during the time of crisis.

At the same time, Zu Azhar said, the university management also advised the affected students to immediately update their details and status to the UniMAP flood operation room at 04-9797777 to be forwarded to the Academic Division and reception Learning Centre.

"The management is concern with worsening flood situations especially in the east coast states as well as the plight of those affected.

"Besides the flood operation room, the affected students could also update their situation with UniMAP Security Department at 04-979 8181/ 8571 or Student Representative Council's Welfare Exco (Hafizan) 017-3329 655
