JOHOR BARU: Thistle Hotel recently brought Christmas cheer to 21 children of Persatuan Kebajikan Berkat Johor Baru with a sumptuous lunch.
The children, aged between three and 21, have been under the care of the home for 10 years.
The hotel prepared delectable Christmas foods and desserts for the children, including turkey, lamb and a variety of dishes and cakes.
Thistle marketing communications and public relations director M.S. Bobby said the event was part of the hotel’s initiatives to give back to the community.
“We are planning a more meaningful effort next year. We are hoping to have hotel staff volunteer to paint houses, clean up orphanages or old folks homes,” she said.
Persatuan Kebajikan Berkat Johor Baru home director Raymond Choong thanked the hotel for
bringing Christmas joy to the children.
“At home, we treat everyone as family and not strangers.
“We want to instil bonds among the children and raise them well,” he said. Halim Said
