KUALA TERENGGANU: State Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) has targeted a sales revenue of more than RM30 million at all 17 Pasar Tani all over the state in 2015.
State FAMA director Hasan Jusoh said another three Pasar Tani will operate at three new areas in Kuala Terengganu, Kemaman and Besut, costing FAMA RM1.5 million each.
"Fifty traders will benefit from the new three Pasar Tani when it's open," he said adding that another two more wet markets will be built in Kampung Nyior Tujuh, Besut and Kerteh, Kemaman.”
He said up to November last year, the 17 Pasar Tani in the state managed to reach RM25.9 million of its sales revenue.
He also said that the flood that hit the state had affected the sales and activities at the Pasar Tani.
