Flood: Siamese community contributes aid to victims

PADANG TERAP: With deep concern for the welfare of those devastated by the floods in East Coast, Kedah Siamese Association today launched post-flood volunteer operation.

Its secretary Tang Edam said a total of 96 volunteers from Siamese community were involved in the programme.

“Even though we are from different background and religion, but we are very keen in helping the flood victims in Kelantan.

“We are donating essential items such as rice, sugar, coffee, milk, sardine and noodles to the flood victims,” he said.

The convoy was flagged off by State Tourism, Indian and Siamese Community Affairs Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Rawi Abdul Hamid at Wat Chang Deng in Naka today.
