BIDOR: An 18-year-old suffered injuries to his hands and chest after the fire extinguisher he was fiddling with suddenly exploded.
In the 1pm incident today at the wielding workshop belonging to the victim's father at Jalan Bidor Raya here, the victim was said to be trying to fill the extinguisher with wielding gas.
Bidor Fire and Rescue Department operation chief Nasir Md Nor said firemen who rushed to the scene after receiving the distress call at 1.11pm found the victim had been sent to hospital by his family.
"The victim's mother said her son's injuries were not that serious," he said.
