Floods: Unpredictable weather keeps 594 victims in shelter

KOTA KINABALU: Flood situation in Sabah has improved as the last relief centre in Beaufort district was officially closed today.

SMK Gadong was closed at 12.30pm.

However two relief centres in Membakut sub-district, Membakut Multipurpose Hall and SMK Saga-Saga hall are still housing evacuees totalling to 594 residents.

As of 5pm, the flood victims at the two relief centres were not allowed to return home due to unpredictable weather.
