KAMPAR: A postal lorry co-driver died when the lorry, driven by his friend, collided with another lorry here early yesterday.
The other lorry was carrying chicken feed.
The accident happened at Km295.8 of the North South Expressway here about 6.30am.
The deceased Yusri Yahya, 41, died at the scene while the driver, Wan Hafizi Wan Isman, 24, and the driver of the other lorry, Mohamad Alias Jailani, 46, escaped unhurt.
Kampar district police chief Superintendent Ng Kong Soon said initial investigation showed the driver of the postal lorry had failed to control the vehicle and rammed into the other lorry in front of it.
"The deceased was killed instantly as a result of serious head injuries.
"His remains were sent to the Kampar Hospital for a post-mortem," he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
No arrest has been made.
