KUALA LUMPUR: The daughter of Malaysia Airlines’ chief steward, Andrew Nari, who was on board flight MH370 posted a heart-wrenching birthday tribute for his fiftieth birthday.
Maira Elizabeth Nari posted a picture of Andrew in happier time -- playing with snow on her Instagram account @mairaelizabethnari with a birthday message.
“That happy, laughing faces of yours. Happy Birthday, daddy!?You have come to half of the age that is 50 years old,” she said.
Maira shared what she remembered of her father and revealed that the family had planned for a special birthday celebration for Andrew since he’ll be turning fifty but it won’t take place since Andrew is not around.
“I remember very well of the memories we had on your birthday and the last few moments before mom and Malcolm sent you off to the airport. Actually, before all these happened, we planned to celebrate your birthday big because you'll be turning 50, but you're not here......,” she said.
Maira said in her message that the family prayed, in remembrance of him.
“Today, we are going to church to celebrate your birthday. You are always in our mind and hearts. You are at Home, safe and sound with the Creator.”
Maira also expressed her heartbreak trying to come to term with her father not being around.
“We miss you terribly and we love you always. You're the best husband to mom, and the best dad for Malcolm and I. Happy 50th Birthday, daddy,” she said.
Her post has generated other Instagram users to post encouraging messages for Maira.
