GURUN: Two men were killed when the car they were travelling in collided with a pick-up truck in Jalan Jeniang here about 3.30pm today.
The driver and passenger of the car, who were pinned to their seats died on the spot due to multiple injuries while the driver of the pick-up truck escaped with minor injuries.
The identity of both victims is yet to be identified.
Kuala Muda district police chief Assistant Commissioner Khalil Arifin said initial investigation showed that the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle before it skidded and crashed onto the pick-up truck which was coming from the opposite direction.
He said the injured victim was rushed to Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital while the two bodies had been extricated from the mangled car by firemen.
