KUALA LUMPUR: The body of a dam maintenance worker, Azhar Gumri, 40, was found early this morning in Sungai Tengi Dam, Bestari Jaya, near here, today.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations, Mohd Sani Harul said Azhar was believed to have drowned after the boat he was in capsized last Thursday.
“His body was found at 2.01 am today and the body was sent to the police for further investigation,” he told Bernama when contacted, today.
Last Thursday, Azhar with six of his colleagues were in the boat that capsized at the Sungai Tengi Dam, however, all of his fellow workers were rescued.
Mohd Sani said the six workers who survived were Hairul Nizam Mukmin, Mohd Rafi Rahim, Ibrahim Yaakob, Mohd Zahid Mat Tahir, Mohd Fazli Nirwan and N. Ginansigaram. –BERNAMA
