ALOR STAR: Two men were killed when the motorcycles they were travelling on were involved in a head on collision at an irrigation canal road near Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital (HSB) here last night.
The victims, identified as Mohd Noor A'fifi Noor Zamri, 21, and Ismail Othman, 35, were killed on the spot due to severe head injuries in the 10.30pm incident.
A'fifi's brother Mohd Noor A'zizi, 19, who was riding pillion suffered serious injuries and currently receiving treatment at HSB.
Kota Setar district police chief Assistant Commissioner Adzaman Mohd Jan said the two brothers were en route from their home in Jalan Datuk Kumbar to the hospital when the motorcycle collided head on with the other victim's motorcycle.
"Police are investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death with reckless driving.
