TELUK INTAN: Four car workshops and two scrap metal shops went up in smokes in a fire this evening.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the 6.30pm incident at Km1 Jalan Maharajalela here.
Losses suffered could not be immediately ascertained.
A Teluk Intan fire and rescue station spokesman said they rushed to the scene as soon as they received a distress call about 6.32pm.
"By the time we arrived, all six premises have been gutted 90 per cent.
"The fire was brought under control about 7.20pm," he added.
The spokesman said the operation was called off at 9.40pm.
