Water disruption in USJ, Bandar Puteri Puchong

SHAH ALAM: Water supply in several areas in USJ, Subang Jaya and Bandar Puteri, Puchong, were disrupted today following a pipe burst due to a land slide.

Selangor Infrastructure and Public Utilities, Agriculture Modernisation and Agro-based Industry Permanent Committee chairman Zaidy Abdul Talib said the water supply disruption affected about 8,000 subscribers.

He said the pipe that burst was the one which linked the Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant and Bandar Puteri and the situation caused the water level at the Sime UEP Pond to drop.

However, he said repair works were in progress and scheduled to be ready by late this evening.

Water supply to Bandar Puteri is expected to be fully restored by then, he said in a statement here today.

On the water supply in USJ, he said, it was almost restored.

On the land slide, he said the Subang Jaya Municipal Council would investigate the incident, as well as repair the slope. –BERNAMA
