Drug dealer arrested in Kota Kinabalu

KOTA KINABALU: Police arrested a suspected drug dealer here on Friday, and seized drugs, cash, jewellery and cars worth more than RM300,000.

The drugs seized include 7.47kg of cannabis, 541.6g of ketamine, 2,874 Ecstasy pills, and 2,050 Erimin 5 pills.

State Narcotics Chief Superintendent Abdul Rahim Dolmat said the 42-year-old man was apprehended in Luyang following a tip-off.

"The police have been following the suspect for some time. He also led police to a house where he stored the drugs," he said in a press conference at the State Police Headquarters in Kepayan, here.

Abdul Rahim said the drugs were believed to be distributed to entertainment outlets in the State capital as well as Penampang district.

The suspect also tested positive for drug and was remanded to facilitate investigations under Section 39A (2) and 39B Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
