Menunggu Teduh Hujan wins big at Anugerah Tribute P. Ramlee 2014

KUALA LUMPUR: Menunggu Teduh Hujan, a telefilm by actor-cum-director Azma Aizal Yusoof, bagged the Best Telefilm award at last night’s Anugerah Tribute P. Ramlee 2014.

The telefilm also nabbed the awards for Best Director, Best Actor (Zaidi Omar), Best Script, (Mazelan Manan), Best Supporting Actor (Azhan Rani) and Best Cinematography (Azeli Mohammad).

Altogether, the film took home five trophies and a total of RM34,000 as cash prize.

Meanwhile, veteran actress Fauziah Ahmad Daud and young actress Izara Aishah won Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, respectively, for their roles in Osman Ali’s telefilm Seteguh Kasih Ibunda.

Legendary actress Mariani Ismail, who starred alongside Tan Sri P. Ramlee back then, was presented with the Malay Film Acting Figure award.

Organised by Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM), The Utusan Group and in partnership with Suhan Movies & Trading, this is the second time Anugerah Tribute P. Ramlee to be held.

Telecast live on TV1, It is held at Auditorium Perdana, Angkasapuri and to celebrate the contributions of P. Ramlee, who once elevated the local filming industry.

The event was attended by Communications and Multimedia Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr Sharifah Zarah Syed Ahmad Datuk Seri Dr. Sharifah Zarah Syed Ahmad.
