KUALA LUMPUR: A foreigner fell to his death in an attempt to flee from cops at an apartment complex in Seri Kembangan, near here, early morning today.
The 12.30am incident happened at Pangsapuri Villa Serdang when the 34-year-old Nigerian man tried to exit from a unit at the seventh floor through its balcony.
Serdang police chief Assistant Commissioner Razimi Ahmad said a team of policemen raided the unit after receiving information on an illegal activity.
"Police found that there were two suspects in the unit, and when the raiding team moved in to apprehend them, the victim ran towards the balcony.
"The officers went after the suspect in an attempt to stop him, but he had already climbed onto the balcony and fell," he said.
Razimi said the man's body was sent to the Serdang Hospital for post-mortem.
