Malaysia signs agreement with Vietnam on SMEs cooperation

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia signed an agreement with Vietnam to boost cooperation between small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Malaysia is among the leading foreign investors in Vietnam, led by Petronas, Maybank, Public Bank, SP Setia and Parkson Corp.

Malaysia has benefitted from the opening up of the Vietnamese economy.

SME Corp Malaysia and the Agency for Regional Industrial Development of Vietnam inked the agreement.

It was witnessed by International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and Vietnamese Industry and Trade Minister Dr Vu Huy Hoang.

Both countries also held their third meeting of the Joint-Trade Committee.
