Proposal for business communities by August: Dr Munir Majid

KUALA LUMPUR: Asean leaders were positive to the proposals put forward by the business community said Asean Business Advisory Council Malaysia chairman Tan Sri Dr Munir Majid.

In a dialogue with the leaders chaired by Asean chair and Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, Munir said the feedback had been positive.

“I summarised the report and emphasised on things that should be done, as well as about our proposals post- Asean Economic Community 2015,” he said.

The council hopes to wrap up its list of proposals by the end of August.

On the things that should be done, Munir said the leaders found them comprehensive.

“They did not disagree with any one of them.

“They were very keen and concerned about the position of the small and medium sized enterprises, how emphasis should be given to them, to work together and share experiences with them.”
