KUALA LUMPUR: Various artistes led by Alfonso Soliano's granddaughter Rachel Guerzo have come up with a tribute album to the legendary composer who founded the RTM Orchestra.
The album named Alfonso 25 which is produced by Guerzo and commemorates the 25th anniversary of his passing.
Guerzo says the album will be ready by September and features original compositions of her grandfather which were made popular by legendary singers Kartina Dahari, Zain Azman, Datuk Ahmad Daud and Datuk Julie Sudiro among others.
The songs are re-recorded by Guerzo and her brothers Don and Dado, collectively known as The Guerzos, and singers Bihzhu, Ali Aiman and Lokman Aslam.
