BATU PAHAT: A nine year old girl who was seriously injured after being struck by lightning outside of her school yesterday has succumbed to her injuries this morning.
Siti Nur Aina Hairi died at about 8am at the Sultanah Nora Hospital in Batu Pahat.
Her father Hairi Mamat, 42, said he was informed about the matter by the hospital, and arrangements were now being made for her burial.
In the incident yesterday, two men died after they were struck by lightning while waiting for their children outside of SK Seri Permatang Rengas, Parit Karjan in Seri Medan, near here at 12.45pm. The dead were Huda Janif @Abdullah Omar, 35 and Norazwan Juwari, 41, who are both farmers from Seri Medan.
