Najib spends time with Malaysian students at Tohoku University

SENDAI: Malaysian students at the renowned Tohoku University in Sendai, were given an opportunity to spend time exchanging views and chatting with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, here, today.

Najib met the students in this informal setting after the question and answer session at his lecture earlier had to be cut short due to time constraint.

At the lecture attended by Malaysian and foreign students, Najib advised them to stay positive and not to be disheartened by failures or resistance in the pursuit of their goals.

"Make wise, informed and discerning decisions," he told them.

Only three questions could be entertained at the session as Najib had to hold a press conference to wrap up his three-day visit to Japan.

Right after the press conference, Najib, to the delight of the students, met them again - this time in an informal session.

He bantered and took questions from the students who are among the 40 from Malaysia studying at the university.
