KUALA LUMPUR: There is no criminal charge against Icon Offshore Bhd’s top executives, as of to date, said independent director Datuk Wira Azhar Abdul Hamid.
Chief executive officer Dr Jamal Yusof is no longer part of the board, as of this morning but he remains as CEO on leave of absence, said Icon Offshore Bhd chairman Raja Tan Sri Arshad Raja Tun Uda.
Captain Hassan, as deputy CEO, takes on day-to-day running of the business.
They were speaking to reporters after the company’s shareholders meeting here today.
Last month, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission remanded Icon Offshore’s CEO Dr Jamal Yusof and chief operating officer (COO) Rahman Yusof to “facilitate and assist in investigations” currently being conducted by the anti-corruption agency.
