PUTRAJAYA: The Home Ministry will form the Al-Hadith Control Board and a related screening task force to authenticate the religious texts before they were viewed by the public.
Its minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said their role was similar to what was currently being done with publications of the holy Quran.
He said they would be focused on detecting false Hadiths that have been widely spread in the country, which could lead to deviant teachings and extremism.
Zahid said the misinterpretation of these Hadiths, for personal or organisational use, would indirectly affect national security.
