Najib departs for Malaysia, ends three-day Saudi visit

JEDDAH: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak left for Kuala Lumpur today after completing a three-day official visit to Saudi Arabia.

Najib and wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor left on a special flight from the Royal Pavilion, King Abdulaziz International Airport, here at 8am (1pm Malaysia time)

Sending him off at the airport were Saudi Arabian Minister of State Essam Al Saeed; Minister of Municipals and Rural Areas Abdullatif Al Shaikh; and Mayor of Jeddah Municipality, Hanu Aburas as well as officials from Malaysia's Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Prior to his flight back to Malaysia, Najib peformed the umrah or small haj with his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor. They completed the rite at Masjidil Haram, Mecca at about 2am (7am Malaysia time).

The prime minister was on an official visit by invitation of King Salman Abdulaziz Al-Saud. He had an audience with the ruler on Saturday.
