GEORGE TOWN: Four people kayaking off Tanjung Bungah here were lost at sea and found their way back to land.
A firemen spokesperson said there was brief scare when the four kayakers pedalled near Penang Swimming Club had been reported to be out of sight about 8.30pm.
He said the rescue team was despatched to the scene before a caller alerted the fire department in Bagan Jermal.
The spokesman said the department called off the search operation about 8.45pm.
