KOTA KINABALU: Sabah MIC has unanimously pledged their undivided support to acting president Datuk Seri Dr Subramaniam to lead the party forward.
State MIC liaison committee chairman Datuk V Jothi said the decision to support Dr Subramaniam ..was made at its meeting in Kota Kinabalu today.
"We deliberated at length the current leadership crisis in the party and the entire Sabah MIC, including the women and youth wings, were of the opinion that Dr Subramaniam is the right person to steer the party back to glory," he said.
"Its not that we have anything against Palanivel but we sincerely feel that Dr Subramaniam is the right person to lead the party and regain the support of the Indian community for Barisan Nasional," Jothi added.
He said with the declaration of support, all MIC divisions in Sabah will nominate Dr Subramaniam for the president's post at the forthcoming party election.
