Olympus released OM-D E-M1o Mark II

Olympus has released the second generation of its OM-D camera, the E-M10 Mark II. The 16.1 megapixel premium compact camera is equipped with the company's renowned 5-Axis In-Built Image Stabilisation (IBIS) feature, TruePic VII image engine, a 2.36M dot OLED viewfinder, 3-inch touchscreen and built-in flash.

Body alone costing RM2,699, the E-M10 Mark II is targeted at first-time SLR owner, travelers and families. Able to deliver photos in wide-angle landscapes, portraits, social snapshots, travel movies, macro close-ups and telephoto action sports, this camera offers 14 Art Filters and 4K resolution time-lapsed movies too. Stabilisation mechanism also works during movie shooting, which can be done in Full HD 24, 25 and 30fps.

File transfers to smart devices running on Android or iOS is facilitated by the camera's Wi-Fi control feature. Users need to download the Olympus OI.Share app in order to enjoy this feature.

The camera body with with 14-150mm II lens is priced at RM4,299 and for this option Olympus also includes the ECG-3 external grip for free. A camera package that comes with with 14-42mm EZ lens the price is slightly lower at RM3,399. With purchase of any E-M10 Mark II kit option, Olympus is also offering accessories such as the ECG-3 external grip and CSS-S119L leather strap at RM249 and extra BLS-50 battery unit at RM239.
