SHAH ALAM: Maybank Islamic Bhd is allocating RM20 million for its Selangor Home financing package.
"This scheme is meant for 674 houses in Selangor " said its chief executive officer and group head of Islamic Banking, Datuk Muzaffar Hisham.
The package will only be eligible for customers identified by the Selangor State Government on a few projects in the state which includes, PKNS Selayang Mutiara, Rumah Kos Renday (RKR) Sungai Sering, RKR Berembang, RKR Lembah Subang II and RKR Rimba Jaya.
Muzaffar said Maybank Islamic is pleased to be the first commercial Islamic bank to collaborate with the state government as the mortgage financier for this segment of the market.
"Selangor been working on this quite awhile. We hope we have the opportunity to collaborate further" said Muzaffar.
