GEORGE TOWN: A 36-year-old motorcyclist was killed and another injured when their machines collided near Teluk Kumbar here today.
Sabri Ally was on his way to Bayan Lepas from Balik Pulau when he was said to have lost control of his machine and collided into another motorcycle at 8.10am in Jalan Balik Pulau.
Investigating officer Inspector Razif Mat Zainal said initial investigations at the scene revealed both motorcycles were traveling in opposing directions when the incident occurred.
“(Sabri) died on the spot while the other motorcyclist was sent to a nearby hospital for treatment. A post mortem examination carried out at Penang Hospital revealed that (Sabri) suffered head injuries.”
