KAJANG: A 16-year-old girl was found in a drug den together with five other men during a police raid at a house in Bandar Tasik Kesuma in Beranang, yesterday.
Police had raided the house after following up on a lead over an earlier robbery case in Beranang.
However, they were surprised to find the underage girl in the company of the men, one of whom was her boyfriend.
The girl is a school dropout, while the men, in their mid-30s, were all jobless.
Checks also showed that one of the men was on police’s wanted list for assault with a dangerous weapon.
Kajang police chief ACP Willey Richard said upon conducting a sweep of the house, police found 67 packets of heroin, amounting to 144.9 grams, hidden under a mattress.
"Initial investigation showed that the drugs were obtained from Negri Sembilan and were meant to be sold to customers in Rinching, Semenyih, and Beranang.”
All the suspects, including the girl, tested positive for drugs.
The suspects have since been remanded.
