Ex-Alur Limbat assemblyman dies, shot in own home (Video)

KUALA TERENGGANU: Former Alur Limbat assemblyman Alias Abdullah died after he was shot in the head in his home today.

The two-term assemblyman, aged 51, was rushed by neighbours to the Bukit Payong clinic where he was pronounced dead.

His wife, Noreha Mohamad, 45, his son and a maid were at home when the incident occurred at 2.30pm.

An eyewitness, Abdul Wahab Mohamad, 35, said he saw two men on a black motorcycle stop in front on Alias’ house.

"One of the men got off the motorcycle. I heard a shot fired and saw the man running towards the motorcycle before speeding off to the main road about 150 meters away.

"I followed the assailants on my motorbike for about 4km but eventually lost them," he said.

State police chief Datuk Rosli Abdul Rahman confirmed the incident and said investigations are ongoing.
