Family looking for missing man

KUALA LUMPUR: A family is looking for a 39-year-old man, who has been missing from his home at Sunway Damansara Condominium since Wednesday.

A family member who refused to be known said Shazlan Ariffin, who has a memory lapse, was sent home on Wednesday morning by his wife after he complained of headache and nausea at the office.

“Shazlan has been suffering from temporary memory lapses since he fell and knocked his head in the bathroom early this year. He suffered a bad concussion.

“On Wednesday, he went to the office but did not look so well. His wife took him home about 11am to get some rest.

“The wife only leant that her husband was missing when their son told her that their father had not returned home,” he said when contacted today.

He said the family then requested to watch the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage at their condominium which showed Shazlan stumbling in the lift without pressing any buttons. He later left the building wearing a white and purple checkered shirt and blue trousers.

The family lodged a report at Petaling Jaya Police District here today.

Meanwhile, Petaling Jaya District police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zani Che Din confirmed that they received the report and police were still investigating the CCTV footage.

Those with information on the whereabouts of Shazlan are urged to contact the nearest police station.
