Woman goes missing for days after family misunderstanding

PUTRAJAYA: Police have confirmed receiving a report about the disappearance of a 20-year-old woman here on Wednesday.

Putrajaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner A Asmadi Abdul Aziz said a report was made by the woman's stepfather at the Precint 11 police station, after he realised that she was not at home and was believed to have run away.

He said the woman had felt unhappy after she had been hit on the head during a misunderstanding between family members.

"The case has been classified as a missing person's case and efforts to search for and to locate her are currently underway including enlisting the help of members of the public. Those who come across anything or have information regarding her whereabouts should relay the information to police," he said when contacted.

The issue of a woman who was reported to have gone missing after failing to return home since Monday went viral on social media.

Nurul Aishah Abdullah was reported to have left the family home in Dwiputra Residensi, Precint 15 here that day.

She is not working and ooks after her younger siblings at home.

Nurul Aishah's mother, Nurul Izzah Lenny Abdullah Mathius, 43, said her daughter has never gone far away from home and has always looked after her younger siblings.

"I hope that Aishah returns as soon as possible because we are very worried about her," she said.
