PR1MA expo to kickstart in Kedah on Friday

PETALING JAYA: 1Malaysia People's Housing (PR1MA) will kickstart its nationwide exhibition 'Ekspo Rumah PR1MA' in Sungai Petani, Kedah from Oct 16 to 18.

The three-day event will showcase all PR1MA developments as well as conduct the balloting process, unit selection and other family activities.

Its chief executive officer Datuk Abdul Mutalib Alias said there would be more than 30 exhibition booths by respective developers and financial institutions to help buyers acquire their units.

The financial assistance also includes the 110 per cent financing, as reported by New Straits Times previously.

The expo aims to draw more than 10,000 people in Kedah. The expo would then be held in Malacca, Johor, Kuala Lumpur and Sabah, with about 72,002 units on offer.

To date, its total approved units for development stands at 199,172 units from 180 projects nationwide.

It expects to fulfil its 240,000 units requirement by the end of 2015, as mandated by the government to develop 80,000 homes annually.

PR1MA currently has 65,000 units under construction which would be handed over to the buyers upon completion tenure of two to three years.
