KUALA LUMPUR: A 23-year-old man was seriously wounded when a brawl broke out between the victim and a group of people at Projek Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) Intan Baiduri here early this morning.
The incident happened after the victim approached the group who were drinking alcohol and making noise at the housing area during the 12.05am incident.
Sentul police chief Assistant Commissioner R. Munusamy said the victim sustained injuries on his head, hands and legs after being slashed using a sharp weapon.
“The victim was taken to the Selayang Hospital for further treatment and he is now in a stable condition after he had a surgery today.
“Based on the information from the victim, there were five people involved in the case and police are still looking for the suspects,” he said.
The case was being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt.
