The high-speed impact pinned the car under the trailer with all the victims trapped inside.

They are believed to had died at the scene of the accident.

Mohd Said said the 35-year-old trailer driver from Kampung Bachok in Kelantan, whose identity was not divulged, was asleep in his vehicle during the impact.

“The trailer driver, who was unhurt, did not realise that his vehicle had been rammed by the car until he was alerted by passing motorists.

“He is assisting police in investigations,” said Mohd Said, adding that the it was raining during the accident.

He called upon eye-witnesses of the accident to contact the nearest police station to help in investigations under Section 41(1) of the Road and Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving and causing hurt.
