Devamany to contest for MIC deputy president

IPOH: MIC Central Committee Member Datuk Seri S. K. Devamany today revealed that he would be contesting for the party's deputy president post in the upcoming election in November.

Speaking during a press conference, Devamany who is also Perak Speaker said he made the decision following strong support from the grassroots.

"I have held various positions in the party such as branch chairman, tresurer general, Yayasan Strategic Social chairman, and National Vice President.

"Thus, my candidature will definitely enhance the President's and party's vision towards a greater MIC for the future. I will give my best," he said.
