Nation indebted to policemen: Raja Muda Perlis

KANGAR: The country shall always be indebted to the sacrifices of policemen who ensure that the people enjoy life in a safe and peaceful environment, said the Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail.

He said that even if they were retired, the services and dedication of policemen were still valued by the government which honoured them with the ‘Pingat Jasa Pahlawan Negara (PJPN)’.

“Their sacrifices are definitely an inspiration for the younger generation to continue in this noble service, besides helping to boost the police’s image,” he said.

Tuanku Raja Muda said this, after conferring the PJPN on 92 former policemen of the Perlis contingent in a ceremony at the Perlis Senior Police Officers’ Mess here, this evening.

Raja Puan Muda Perlis Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil was also present at the event.

Upon arrival, the royal couple were welcomed by Bukit Aman director of internal security and public order Datuk Muhammad Fuad Abu Zarim and Perlis police chief, SAC Shafie Ismail.--BERNAMA
