Johor police get its first female deputy police chief

JOHOR BARU: Former Federal police Management Department deputy director (human resources) Datuk Aishah Mohammad became the first women appointed as Johor deputy police chief.

Aishah took over the post from Datuk Ismail Yatim, who will be retiring on November 28, during the handing over of duties ceremony held at Johor police headquarters today.

The ceremony was witnessed by acting Johor police chief Datuk Ramli Hassan together with the rest of the Johor police contingent senior officers.

Aishah, who hailed from Pontian and has been serving the force for the past 40 years, is determined to transform the Johor police contingent to adopt the modern policing concept in achieving world class policing standard.

"This could be achieved through STEP, which is improving Service delivery, using of new age Technology, Empowering police personnel with the right skills and knowledge and able to Process and identify laws which will make our police personnel more confident and ready to face the public when out on duty," she said.
