SHAH ALAM: A housewife was charged at the Shah Alam magistrate's court earlier today for murdering her five-year-old stepdaughter.
Zuraidah Basuki, 36, had allegedly murdered Nurul Asmieranda Amran between 10pm on Nov 19 and 2am on Nov 20 at Bandar Puncak Alam, here.
Clad in a blue T-shirt and purple pants with her hair tied in a bun, Zuraidah nodded when the charge was read to her.
No plea was recorded.
Magistrate Norshakinah Ahmad Kamarudin set Dec 16 for mention.
Deputy public prosecutor Rustam Sani prosecuted.
