KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today made a surprise visit to see for himself the services provided at the Pudu Sentral Urban Transformation Centre (UTC).
Satisfied with what he saw, Najib said the services were very good and met the standards set by the government.
Najib, who uploaded several photographs on the visit in his latest entry on his blog NajibRazak.com, also praised the services provided by the Immigration Department and National Registration Department (NRD) for completing transactions within a very short time.
“International passports were ready in less than an hour. In fact, I myself applied for a replacement of my birth certificate and received it in less than 30 minutes,” he said.
During the visit, Najib said he also received positive feedback from several visitors to the UTC, all of whom were very impressed by the efficiency of the agencies there, whether it was for renewing driving licences, applying for international passports or replacing the MyKad identity document and birth certificates.--BERNAMA
