Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the Thai-counterparts have given the green light and police were ready to go there.

"They are ready to accept us. The meeting between us (Malaysian police and Thai police) was slightly delayed due to the recent Asean Summit.

"The Thai-counterparts have informed us and we will be there next week to investigate and take the evidence (related documents) that they have pertaining to the case," he said in a press conference after the Inspector Graduation Ceremony at Dataran Kawad, Pulapol here today.

Justo, who is being jailed in Thailand for blackmailing his former employer, was sought after by the Malaysian police to facilitate investigation into issues surrounding the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).
